The picture shows a Hitachi notebook Hard Disk, which came inside an IBM ThinkPad laptop that was destroyed due to fire in an apartment. We received it to attempt recovery of Outlook Personal Folder files (.pst) from the hard disk. The Laptop (the drive too) was fully soaked in water when the Civil Defense personnel spurted water jets to prevent fire.
It took nearly one and a half days for us to clean and make the drive moisture free inside our lab. Loud rattling noise filled our recovery labs for hours but end of the day our expert engineers were able to take out the critical files.
Though the entire process of data recovery took 3 days, the client was more than glad when he realized that MORE Computers had saved his data and eventually his business.
